DANIELSON FRAMEWORK

Domain 4: Professional Responsibilities

4a. Reflecting on Teaching

ANALYZING TEACHING

This excerpt from my edTPA portfolio commentary reflects the depth of reflection I use to determine future changes to instruction based on missed opportunities and misunderstandings to best meet the collective and individual needs of the class.

4c. Communicating with Families

INFORMATION SENT HOME

Here are some examples of communication home.  Below, you will find a sample letter of introduction sent home to families of the C.A.R.E. after school program.  To the right, you will find an example of information I sent home to middle school families before a concert performance.

4d. Participating in a Professional Community

SERVICE TO THE SCHOOL: SUPERVISING EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In my time at Roland Park Country School I volunteered my time to be the faculty advisor to both a student leadership organization and extra-curricular activity.

(LEFT) As the faculty advisor to the Visual and Performing Arts Association I assisted students in facilitating arts related events including Artist of the Month, Coffee House performances, and more.

(CENTER, RIGHT) As the faculty advisor to the Middle School Dance Company, I led students through dance classes, dance composition activities, and taught choreography in Fridays after school.

4e. Growing and Developing Professionally

CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE

I was fortunate to attend the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) Conference in October 2019.  This conference was a valuable opportunity to enhance my content knowledge and pedagogical skill.  I was able to network with other dance teachers and expand my knowledge of the conference topic: The Creative Process: Choreography, Choice-Making, and Communication.
