BIOGRAPHY

Patricia (Tricia) Statkiewicz is an accomplished dance educator and choreographer dedicated to fostering artistic growth across K-12 and pre-professional levels. Her diverse pedagogical expertise is backed by a solid academic foundation, holding an Ed.M. in Dance Education from Rutgers University and a B.A. in Dance and Business from Muhlenberg College.

 

With a decade of experience in K-12 settings, Tricia has a proven track record of building and elevating dance programs across the country. Her extensive background includes teaching full-time in a prestigious academy program, developing an International Baccalaureate (IB) Dance curriculum, and leading general education dance classes. As a versatile educator, she has also worked as a Teaching Artist engaging students through specialized initiatives such as Malashock’s Math in Motion program and San Diego Unified's VAPA Arts Education Project.

 

Beyond the traditional classroom, Tricia has enriched community dance spaces by teaching technical classes, setting original choreography, and directing performance ensembles within various dance studios and after-school programs.

 

A highly qualified professional, Tricia holds single-subject teaching credentials in Virginia, California, and New Jersey. She is a 500-Hour Comprehensive Pilates Certified instructor and an ABT® Certified Teacher, having successfully completed the American Ballet Theatre® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
